Today is my December birthday, which means I’m only seven months away from being twenty-four. Even scarier-I’m roughly eight months away from being married.
Christmas was great this year, and I am definitely not happy to be back at work so soon. I got some awesome presents, including:
- Diamond eternity necklace from my dad (it was more of a thank you gift for helping him during his surgery)
- TJ Max Gift certificates. Favorite store ever.
- Coach purse. Yes, that’s right-Coach. And it’s hot pink, baby!
- Puffer vest that’s LONG . . . and that I now wear all the time.
- Grey’s Anatomy Season 1. I now have a gigantic crush on Patrick Dempsey, as well as an intense desire to retrain and become an acute-care nurse practitioner (there’s a one-year program at the U. of Rochester. Hm…)
- More gift certificates to various stores and money (most of which will be used to change my car over to NY state)
- Of course, Bath & Body works from my Grandma (this year’s scent: Vanilla Sugar)
I know I’m forgetting some things.
Erin. I found this website today while searching for a recipe for Thai Coconut Soup. Go to it! It’s all vegan and fabulous:
http://blog.fatfreevegan.com/ Speaking of Erin, I also had lots of fun nights out on the town-Wellsboro and Mansfield style! Definitely crazier than life is up here in Ithaca. That’s for sure. But Jan. may change that, we have lots of plans shaping up.
New year’s resolutions, anyone? Here are some of mine:
- Diet overhaul. I am going back to the vegan darkside. We’ll see how long it lasts this time, but I’m hoping to stick with it. I eat too much sugar and chocolate, cheese and cookies, etc. No more!
- Exercise overhaul. I’ve gotten incredibly lazy. I used to run 30 miles a week and strength train. I was a freakin machine, and I want it back!
- Be more organized, especially at home. Stephen is a clean freak, and I want to help keep everything neat in our apartment. It’ll just make life easier.
Those are the main ones, but I usually have ten. More later-with pictures.
