What's a better medium...film or theatre?

I'm gonna go with theatre, obviously.  But, I went to see "Doubt" tonight and was actually pretty dissapointed.  Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Meryl Streep, and Amy Adams - brilliant.  But my thinking is; film is such a broad medium...I don't want to give anything away, but in the play version, the entire play takes place in Sister Aloysius' office...

ill have to see the movie cuz i loved the play--or is it gona ruin it for me? and mtv didnt have trannys on it cuz they werent grown ups yet and cuddnt deal with it, and now that theyve been slapped on the wrist a few times, they can take havin the trannys on the show--bitches...and yes there are normally only 7 lol

I'm so glad that you like Benjamin Button. I've been reading a bunch of cynical critics who are incapable of finding joy in film, so good comments are welcome. I think they're all pissy because it's been an Oscar front-runner since April and they want to deflate any and all hype.
