so, I'm learning an awful lot these days, at a pretty accelerated rate, a rate that makes my brain hurt and leaves me addled and feeling downright ridiculous most of the time.
I am setting aside time in the coming weeks to journal (paper journal, not blog journal) about a lot of things, but in the meantime I'm going to steal from someone else and share with you (all two readers of my blog) the thing I think I most need to focus on in the near future.

3. Don’t give your ears to everyone. Be careful who you listen to. Let go of the inclination and temptation to please everyone. When it’s from folks that I know (especially from my church community), I listen…even if I don’t want to.
Not listening to anyone is as dangerous (if not more so) as listening to everyone.
