Spring Break & College

Wow! I am so excited that I am going home tomorrow for Spring Break! I am so sick of college, and I am pretty much brain dead. I could really use time away from this place. It just builds up and people start snapping at everyone and drama starts.... and then all hell breaks loose. So, needless to say, I am quite eager to get out of here.

I already have plans on what I am going to do while I am home. I am going to get a manicure, pedicure and of course go tanning. Get a little color to this albino skin of mine. :o) I also plan on spending time with Howard. Actually, Lynn, Steve, Howard and I are all going to go out one day for lunch and maybe go bowling afterwords.

As for college, I have actually been really busy this semester. Besides classes, my clubs and work, I am working out twice a week with my personal trainer, Rob. He is absolutely awesome. He pushes me every week to do a little more, and work a little harder then the week before. I don't know if it is really making a difference or anything, but my endurance is a lot better. He says that he can tell that I am getting more toned and everything.... but who knows. I think today is our cardio day. Last Thursday, he had us jump rope for 20 minutes. Let's just say that it was a challenge.

I have also discovered another thing that I am beginning to get quite addicted to. Last week I tried Astanga, and I absolutely LOVED it! I have tried yoga before, but this is a different kind of yoga. Supposedly, this kind of yoga is rather competitive and I can be rather competitive, so it is no wonder that I like it. Actually, my instructor says that I am a natural at this whole yoga thing. I am pretty good at binding and contorting myself into a pretzel. :o) I never knew that yoga was such a great workout as well. It not only helps stretch you out, but it will most definitely get me toned as well, which is a great bonus. Last night after class, she stayed with me and another girl named Brittney, and taught us some other yoga stances. She worked with Brittney on back stretches, and she was showing me how to do Sheerashasana, which is a yoga posture done from a headstand. It is actually kind of difficult because you can't kick up into it. You have to use your ab muscles and lift your legs into the air.

Well I guess I better go. I have such a busy day ahead of me still. I was supposed to work in the Bio Lab, but the class is having a practical, so she didn't need me today. I may go in there and work on my unknown bacteria, but I am not sure. I still have to go work out, a paper to finish, homework to do and I still have to pack as well. I guess I better go. I will right in here in another 3 months or so. ;0P
