Well today was a rather quiet day. Yarniece is staying at another college. I was supposed to have a tour today, but it was canceled. So, ever since breakfast I have been doing homework. I did get quite a bit done today though. I did my Pre Calc homework, my Chemistry write up, my Chemistry lab assignments, my Biology lab assignment and I read Antigone for Literary Genres. I guess its been a rather successful day. I still have to write up a journal for Literary Genres, and that will be another assignment done. I would work on my chemistry packet that is due Monday, but I don't understand a blessed thing on there. Luckily, there is a study session tomorrow at 8. I won't be able to go to Step though, and that will be the second week in a row. My GPA and my grades are more important to me though. Tomorrow I will have Winter Guard and then I guess I will study Chemistry a little bit before the review session. After that I guess I will study some more.
Oh, I might be joining Psi Chi. It is like a Psychology Sorority thing. You have to be a Psychology Major or minor. I am one short of a minor, but I figure I could take one over the summer or during the year. I would like to join, and I would like to graduate with a minor as well. I love psychology. I think it is so fascinating. There have been three things that I have liked pretty much my whole life: Veterinary Medicine, Psychology and Criminal Justice. I have to have a 3.0 average and be in the top 35% of my class, which I am pretty sure that I qualify for both of those. The meeting is sometime this upcoming week, so I will have to make sure to go! Imagine me... in Psi Chi! That might look good on an application and will go toward graduation somehow.
I am getting so excited about going home for Thanksgiving. I wish it would come a little bit quicker! I still need to talk to Professor Nasr about missing his Chemistry class. I have already informed all of my other professors about Thanksgiving and about leaving early for Christmas as well. Once Thanksgiving comes, the year will really start to fly by. The longest time is from September to Thanksgiving. I will only be back for two weeks before I go home again for Christmas break. Then I will have Spring Break in March. Then Summer in May!
This Monday I am hosting three prospective students in my room. I am hoping that I will get a good group. Sometimes I just can't click with them on anything. I know that they will be able to come to my Chemistry lab on Tuesday if they are wanting to. Oh! I get to wear my lab coat for the first time on Tuesday as well! I am so excited about it! I don't know, it just makes me feel professional and like I am someone important! Another reason I am trying to get as much homework done as possible is because I don't want to be stuck doing homework with the overnights here.
