Hey ya'll. What's goin on? Happy late Easter! I hope everyone stuffed their faces with goodies. I didn't eat that much, but I did EVERY SINGLE DROP OF COOKING. This year the meal was all made by your's truely.
Here are some pix of some of the things I made:
the ham with onion rolls and whole wheat rolls (for health-nuts like me)
this is a rosemary garlic, and KOSHER 40 dollar brisket that I made. Took 4 hours in the oven. TASTED FABULOUS. It was slow-cooked in a bed of tomatoes, carrots, celery, and red wine.
greenbeans sauted in butter, with shallots, garlic and portobello mushrooms
all american macaroni salad
fruit salad, with strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, canteloupe, honeydew, watermelon, OJ and blackberry fat-free yogurt. yum.
I'm so proud of this. This is the first pie ive ever baked. It's apple pie, and I added the cute heart accents. It came out perfect and tasted so good. It was definately mine, and everyone elses favorite dish.
Just what my plate looked like.
Other things that were on the menu were whole grain dinner rolls, mashed sweet potatoes, oatmeal raisin chews, chocolate coconut chews, hot crab dip, kalamata olive tapenade, and baked brie with sugar and pecans.
So it turned out good.
