today I was walking towards Hyde Hall with no clue what was about to happen to our country. I had already missed the first tower being hit, but right when I walked into class, the second tower was hit and I saw it all on CNN. No one could believe what was happening. Classes were cancelled for the rest of the day. Hundreds of people were trying to call their loved ones, and cell phone lines were jammed. I was scared to death at the possibility that my father would be going to New York. Now I realize how incredibly selfish that was, but I am very thankful that my dad has never been hurt or killed in the line of duty. That is why today, five years later it is so important to me remember the significance of 9/11. It is important to remember all of the innocent victims and their families. It is important to thank God that he is with us today, and every day.
