Sure, everyone needs an escape every now and then. But I propose a toast to those of us who are addicted to this drug. To this fixation. Who while away the precious hours of our lives, deep within all manner of pointless, unfulfilling obsessions.
Time. Is. Irreplaceable. We only have a certain amount of it on this earth. And how do we use it?
With this. With Livejournal, MySpace, Xanga, AIM, MSN, Yahoo!Messenger, GaiaOnline, NeoPets, YouTube. With talking to people we can't see, people we will never meet, people who are very probably lying about themselves in at least one respect. With roleplaying. With blowing stuff up. With obsessing over anime shows. With looking at other people's poorly-taken, narcissistic self-portraits.
I propose a toast. A toast to wasting your life. A toast to delusion.
