My friend Zuni-chan of deviantART drew me an AMAZING picture of one of my characters in the Aerdus book. Um, btw, Aerdus is the name of the world where the Will of the Straw story is set. Y'know, the one with Korresh as the bad guy. >.> Yes, I finally named the world. XD

BUTYEAH. This is Illyria, one of the main female protagonists. Whilst Bethany is the sprightly, mischevious, foul-mouthed, capable and wily thief-girl, Illyria is the gentle, softspoken, mysterious healer, a Creation mage. She's from the nation of Artios, located west of Mylan. Artios is renowned for (and haughtily proud of) their love of art, architecture, and all things aesthetic. As a society, they generally view themselves as culturally superior to their less-enlightened neighbors, the scattered and multi-cultured Mylaners.
Illyria, I've decided, hails from the city of Atha, Artios's capitol, considered it's heart of not only politics but cultural richness as well. Her father is a highly-respected Senator. Illyria, always thinking of others before herself, decided to leave home in order to protect her father's image. After all, it would hurt him politically if his enemies saw that he no longer made an effort to try to cure his sickly daughter. Of course, Illyria's illness stems from her magic; Creation mages deteriorate the more they use their power, and her father gave up on it because there simply is no cure. Her status as a mage is not, however, common knowledge, concealed also for the benefit of her father's political career.
Illyria's personality, like most of the characters in the Aerdus universe, was originally inspired by a particular character or person, and then decided to develop all on its own. >.> Illyria isn't based off a real-life individual, but another character: Satzuni Morokobi, one of Zuni-chan's main characters as well as her namesake. XD Satzuni, as Fate would have it, is the love interest of the OTHER Will, the Homunculus version who violates all kinds of copyrights. XD;;
So yeah...I'm like, STILL spazzing out that Zuni was kind and sweet and AWESOME enough to draw Illyria for me. AND SO FREAKIN' AMAZINGLY WELL, TOO.
