We saw
Dread (Anthony DiBlasi) last night, the newish movie based on the Clive Barker story. I liked it. Kyla remembers the original much better than I do, and reckons they took away the point. It is certainly not as dangerous in concept as it might be, but the direction and fine acting add up to a disturbing portrait of the world. A slow burn, with some nice moments of pragmatism and humour on the way, helps sell the nastiness.
On an entirely different subject, here's a great discussion on
Dilbert: good or (really, really) bad?
