Kyla was interviewed by Eye of Fire magazine last year, and we have been given permission to reprint it on our website: Kyla Ward interview.

In the meantime, some quick reviews.

The Disappearance of Alice Creed: well made and interesting, but Alice herself gets most of the dodgy moments of plot, which undermines what they were attempting.

Cherrybomb: The cast is more interesting than the movie, but it is a brave stab by a fledgling industry.

Micmacs: Jean-Pierre Jeunet's latest -- I did find it charming, but a bit too woolly for my taste. Better than Alien 4 at least, and with more personality than A Very Long Engagement.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban: Still the best, because of its lovely balance between cinema and the book. People who think it diverges too far from the source seem odd to me. It's sad Jeunet didn't accept the offer to do #5, although A4 might be a lesson in such things (and I have nothing against David Yates).

Being Human S3: Speaking of woolly... but always watchable, and good to have them back. Looks like they are chasing up old traumas this time round. We are indeed ignoring the US version.

Underbelly: The Golden Mile: So many good things are put into this show. It can't quite escape cheap titillation and real-life minefields, but it does pretty fine on the way.

NCIS S4: Still fun. (Yes, we're a bit behind.)

Haven: Still charming and odd (also behind).
