Ok, so let me get this straight- you have this EMT/ Doctor/ Police officer/ fire fighter who goes out and rescues someone from a life-threatening situation and breaks the person's rib during CPR. The rib causes minor damage compared to DEATH, but he and family decide to sue. So, once the case gets to court, the lawyers start to press for battery and the judge decides to make a statement with this medical professional- so, sentence is jail time AND a plentiful amount of personal legal expenses.
