So then, the jap asshat doctors who interviewed Pi at the end of the book, would they be classified as the atheists in chapter 22 because of their eventual leap of faith in believing Pi's story? Or would they be the agnostic 'yeastless' personalities because of their accepting of the absense of rationality in believing and publishing Pi's original story?

I JUST DONT GET WHAT MS BENSON IS TRYING TO TELL US.

Well I think athesists, because they just flat out didn't believe Pi at first. But then they eventually listened to his reasoning and accepted the tiger story as the better one. But who knows really? I don't think Ms. Benson was trying to say anything in particular about the Japanese guys so much as she was talking about Pi's message to them...
