...Is it really that surprising to be able to do?

Sorta-kinda? Most people can't stop time like that. [all aboard the conclusion train!]

Then what exactly was that? [is it obvious he wasn't paying attention to the shadows at all?]

I just froze their shadows, that's all.

[notaluchador]

Froze their.... shadows? That's possible?

[brings out a couple of books - yeah, he's still reading the self-control stuff - and holds them out.] Can you show me again?

[ashadyguy]

Uh. Sure, I guess?

[He doesn't even get into a ready position or anything. He's just looking intently at the shadows.]

/fff, how'd I miss this?

[Watching as he tosses the books into the air. Jeez, they were heavy!]

[ashadyguy]

[Instead of looking at the books now flying in the air, Tsubasa concentrated solely on the shadows, waiting for all of them to converge on one point. He had noticed that Jaime's shadow was cast over the ground within easy stepping range, and if the shadows moved like they should have...

Bingo! At precisely the right moment, he shadow-stepped, freezing not only the books, but Jaime at the same time.]

[Uh. Jaime's not very happy about not being able to move, but... at least it was a cool show? Staring down at his shadow, he then sighed.]

Impressive. But um, did you have to freeze me too?

Hahaha! Sorry, sorry, couldn't help it. But you see how it works now, right?

[He quickly grabs the books and releases them and Jaime from the freeze. He is obviously amused.]

Yep. Totally get it now.

[Unfortunately, Jaime's not very amused, but he'll get over it. Eventually.]

Geeze, these things are heavy. Good thing they didn't fall on us. [He hands them back.] How do you read through them all? I'd never make it through a stack like that.

[takes them and puts them back in his backpack]

I kinda have no choice. Unlike you, my powers aren't exactly so... uh... "tame," for a lack of a better word.
