Last Day in SJ

May 19, 2007 14:11

The packing is underway and my stress level is at an all time high.  The thing is, I'm not stressed about the job or moving 8 hours away or anything like that.  I'm stressed about the roommates I might get stuck with.  I'm praying that they don't suck.  Sucky roommates could seriously ruin my summer.

I have almost everything I'm taking with my packed.  Oh, except for the pile of clothes on my bed that I'm ignoring to type this.  Throwing everything into boxes and suitcases is the easy part.  It's the unpacking that's hard.  I'm terrified of forgetting something so I made like Santa with a list that I'm checking twice.  Knowing me, I'll forget something anyway.

My last week (or what my Dad's been calling my Farewell Tour) went really well.  It went by fast, but we all know how time is a bitch.  She's a close relation to life and gravity.

Ooooh, fun news!  The library was having a used book sale this weekend and I picked up eleven books for $3.75!  Score!  Highlights include a few Dave Barry books, the rest of the Hitchhiker's Guide books, a SciFi book by an author I discovered last summer, a perfect copy of A Christmas Carol as well as a huge old book with a completely faded cover that turned out to be Sherlock Holmes stories.  I think the twenty or so books I packed for the summer should be enough.  :)

I doubt I'll be posting again until I arrive in Maine.  I'm leaving tomorrow morning.

Side note- I'm reaaaaaaly happy to be leaving this house.  My mom and dad are two steps away from killing my brother.  He's a total mess and refuses to even admit that he has a problem.  I don't want to be here when everthing blows up.

Ok, overdramatic side note is over.

I'll be seeing you guys.
