The Host
Still working my way through The Host. I read a bunch of spoil-free reviews before I started and they all said the same thing. Starts out slow, but picks up and OMG!!!1!1!!
I'm almost at the 200 page mark, it's definitely picked up but not to the extent that Twilight did. But hey I still have over 400 pages to go and I get the feeling that it's just starting to really get good. Stephenie Meyer likes to paint her characters really vividly, and that takes time.
I'm gonna read some more, I wanted to finish the book this weekend, but we shall see. It all depends on how much this book pulls me in. *crosses fingers*
And I'm down to two weeks til Maine. Seriously?!?! As much as I can't wait to go back time needs to slow the hell down! I still have a lot of unfinished business here in Jersey! (and by unfinished business I mean sitting around and doing nothing until I'm forced to work with a mere three days off a month)
