Today was a nice break from all the monotony and boredom life seems to bring to me. My family and I went out to a fancy restaurant today. When I asked my dad what's the occasion, he just told me that "It's been a long time since we had a family thing like this". Truth be told, he's right on that one. We rarely go out, or do any of that 'family bonding' thing either although both those things make me feel a bit uncomfortable.
Just to elaborate a little but, dad's mostly busy with work and we never get much chance to talk; mom's great, but she does get short-tempered at times; my siblings? Don't get me started on those two... Then, there's also the extended family which includes grandma, my two cousins, and my niece and nephew (through one of said cousins). How and why they're living with us is a complicated story, though and best not put here. But all in all, I'm content with my family life. It may not be the best out there, but at least it's better than those I've heard about.
Sheesh! I'm getting sidetracked here, aren't I? Oh yeah, there was also this event in the mall. It was some sort of Gundam collection show or something of that sort. Anyways, they had this promo that if you signed up for the event you'd get a free Gundam of your choice and build it there, but it seems they had an age limit of 8-14. My initial thought was, What the heck?! The real fans aren't even in that age group!. Still, it wasn't a big loss; I wasn't a big Gundam fan anyway, I just like building them. :P After that little excitement, things went back to the usual boring routine. Meh.
Anyway, I got to go, I've yet to study for the calculus quiz tomorrow
