ETA: An Elizabeth character study.

Title: Elizabeth Breathes
Author: ash_night
Rating: G
Pairing: None
Warnings: None.
Disclaimer: Mickey Mouse owns Pirates of the Caribbean. Me? I own nothing.
Words: 157
Summery: Only when Elizabeth dreams can she truly breathe.
Notes: Intended for the emotion challenge on potc100, but unfortunately my ficlet is 57 words too long and I can't think of cutting it. Thankies to magicspromise because she gave me the emotion and the character. And yes, it's a wee bit sappy.

Elizabeth flies through the clouds and dashing sunlight when she closes her eyes. Her breath catches on fire that never burns, and her angel wings sail her across the world and into the waters. The fishes and turtles are her beloveds, and they speak to her with bubbles that froth pink and purple and tickle very much when they pop on her skin.

She dreams and dreams, her head soft on down pillows and her mind drifting elsewheres. The ocean's breathy lullaby chants her to sleep through her window, and the silk moon and jewel stars dance in their cosmic serenade.

She's at most peace with herself at night when her eyelids veil the outside world from their darkness. When there are no crowds or indulgent fathers to please, she can finally become more of whom she truly is, a free spirit born with a mind to discover and a heart to breathe the clean, pure air.
