Psst... America.
You're not number 1 any more and frankly you havent been for a while. I know, I know, you wanted the barbarians to pillage your gates so you could go down in a memorable blaze, but instead you crippled yourself with your gambling debts. More so than that, it's an inevitability. China survived the economic meltdown for a variety of reasons, but at the end of the day it demonstrates on the world stage that they can take the heat, i.e., this is china's world as much as it was yours a few years ago.
