There is a war
As we celebrate on this holiest of days, I am reminded that here, in east Vancouver, we are always faced with the west menace. The west has for years mocked our holy celebration of easter and I say this year we no longer take it. We have lobbied the government, and they didnt listen. We lobbied the queen, and received no response. We lobbied other governments (us congress, china, lithuania, rwanda) but no one will help us in our wholly justified fight with west van. We, the citizens of east vancouver, stand together stronger than ever. Before social housing, before health care, the “keep the east in easter” bill must be passed. And the answer is “no”, Mr. So-called MP, we dont think $2.3 million is too much to pay to keep a community’s dignity.
