I made some more progress on the official name change front today. Everything at work is now squared away, and I called all my credit card companies. I find it really disconcerting that none of the credit cards asked for proof of my name change. They just took my word for it and issued new cards. Hmmm.
Had lunch today with an old client and now friend. OJ and I stayed in her timeshare in Cancun a few weeks before we broke up, and she and her husband were in Mexico at the same time so we had dinner with them one night. I haven't been in touch with her consistently over the past few years, and she totally thought the Joe I married was OJ. It was a very funny conversation because we didn't realize the confusion until the end of lunch.
