Happy Birthday Salma Hayek
It's a misleading headline but is her birthday today and I did want to make mention of it because she is hot and well, she is hot and great to look at. Hurricane Katrina seems to be the order of the day and everyone has put in their two cents and I will do the same in the following sentences.
This is second most galvanizing incident in the course of my lifetime, the tsunami was major and you really feel helpless since it was halfway across the world. But now we can do something by donating time,money, and supplies. If you do donate something don't do it because you were pressured to or your favorite celebrity, the girl/guy you are trying to impress did it, do it because you care. I HATE the fact that when a celebrity donates money it's all over the news and they are practically saints and what do you know their new movie is coming out next week tying in perfectly with their generous contribution to the relief fund. And some people being the profiteers they are will try and turn a buck out of suffering,(i.e. another wristband, charity concert album, etc.)if you care so much don't clutter up your wrist with another band that may or may not coordinate with your outfit that you are going out in. Last week I read a story in the paper about an Asian counterfeiting ring that was selling bogus livestrong wristbands they were in possession of ten thousand give or take a large majority were at their apartment. I am just weary of peoples intentions as of late I think it just the problems with me that mean very little at the moment in the grand scheme of things.
