[Yukari can be found wandering among the games, a little aimlessly, since there's just so many to occupy time with. She probably should've known it was gonna be like that. She'll play one or two, but mostly just look around and walk around, kind of wrapped up in her own thoughts.

Feel free to bother her either between games or at a game.]

[ souji's busy going from carnival game to carnival trying to stock up on prizes. why he feels compelled to collect so many is anyone's guess, but he's just returned from dropping of his winnings so far back at his hall.

he spots yukari at a ring toss or... some sort of carnival game along those lines... before deciding to just stand and watch for a bit. cryptically. because he apparently has nothing better to do. ]

[Ring toss it is. Yukari doesn't look very interested, but hey, it is practice, in a way. Well, if nothing else, it might help her with dunking semi-suspecting people at that tank later...

She notices halfway through that someone's kinda staring at her cryptically.

...She'll turn to stare at him too, for a second, a little challengingly, before going back to the rings.]

[ oh. he was noticed. most might have been bashful or self conscious enough to look away at that point or find something else to do...

but no, he just continues to stand there, before walking up to the ring toss himself after a few moments and picking up a ring. ]

I'm pretty good at this one.

[ ...no, no he isn't. ]

...Yeah?

[Well, he doesn't seem dangerous. Kinda cute. Protags. She shrugs and stands to the side.]

...Now you got my expectations up.

[veritates]

[ you have no idea how dangerous this guy is yukari. he calls his target, pointing at a lone bottle situated at the back... easily the most challenging target promising the best prize if he can rope it.

after a dramatic pause, he lets a ring fly and...

completely misses the mark by a few feet. ]

...I'm out of practice.

[takebows]

[...She laughs. A little bit unkindly.]

...Wanna see how it's done?

[She steps up next to him, wielding her own ring with a mock-serious expression. Then she flings it at the same bottle.

Well, it misses also, but it's closer than a few feet.]

Well... kinda like that, anyway.

[veritates]

Not bad.

[ he picks up another ring, spinning it around on his finger a bit. ]

But a miss is still a miss.

[ so he throws again and... misses yet again, but a bit closer than yukari's throw this time. ]

Like that. [ yep he was just demonstrating that's all. ]

[She rolls her eyes slightly, with a slight smile. It's funny to see someone so straight-faced about missing continually.]

Yeah, I think I got the idea before you demonstrated.

[Okay, time to get serious! She takes the next ring and tosses it out with a careful but deliberate flick of her wrist.

It... hits! But ... then bounces off. Well, put a good face on it.]

...Okay, demonstrate better than that!

Alright.

[ now he can't afford to screw up. there are only so many times he can miss and save face.

so he balances the ring in his hand for a bit, taking careful aim before letting loose.

the ring manages to hit one of the bottles, spinning around its neck a few times... before finally settling down and sinking. ]

Ah. [ now if only he didn't sound so surprised about his success... ]

[She smiles. That surprise isn't all that well disguised.]

...Hey, a hit's a hit.

Whether or not it was lucky.

Luck is a skill too.

[ or at least it's a stat. ]

...Seems like it'd be a pretty hard one to develop, though.

You either have it or you don't.

Well, let's see if I have it, then!

[And she tosses another ring at the row of bottles. It lands smoothly, with a pleasant thunk, around the penultimate one.]

...So far, so good, huh?

[She looks at him with a playfully challenging expression. And about then she realizes she can't actually be sure if he's a Traveler or a native whose color has been... mostly restored except for his hair.]
