Let's see -- so far, there hasn't been any evidence that obviously contradicts what was told us in the letter. Colour has slowly returned to the areas of the city where us, ah -- 'travellers' -- gather, but not fast enough that we can guarantee going home any time soon.

So the world does react to our presence. Some powerful form of magic I would assume.

I am no Magus if that is what you wish to know. But, for the time being, magic seems to be the best explanation.

Let's see -- well, we seem to be chosen by our particular gods for a reason, but we're not entirely sure what it is. The best theory I've heard yet is that we have some trait in common with them. The people in the district where we live are there because they worship that particular god and so are a lot nicer to us in our home district than the people in other districts!

Chosen for our connection to them...that I can understand. [Summoning a Servant works exactly the same way.] So if I were to wander outside my God's district, my presence would not be treated so kindly.

No one's been unkind ... but it's a lot harder to get answers from people when they're not from your district -- ah, and that's saying something given what they're like to start with!
