[This time, Conan's sitting at the desk in his room. The desk is too high for him, so he's comandeered a couple of cushions from the Hel living room sofa to prop himself up. He's got his notebook in front of him, and is sitting pertly at his desk, every inch the little kid playing at being important. The cheery wave, kind of undoes that impression

That's one possibility! Or it could just be that the important people were noticed 'cause important people tend to stand out!

But I don't think we really stood out as being important... I mean, if you looked at it from the outside, you wouldn't think that a bunch of high schoolers were doing anything interesting.

I've only talked briefly to Minato-niichan -- I want to help him with his research!

...Right, okay. Well, I probably couldn't say anything better than he has about us. I doubt that anyone outside of our city would've known that it was of any importance, that's all...

Maybe, but even we didn't remember for months... I just mean, whether or not it was, no one really knew.

...I don't really know myself, sorry. We just sort of... "remembered"... one day.

[Not a pleasant day, either.]

And what did you remember?

...I guess, what had happened in our world... what had caused the Apathy Syndrome and what we did to stop it. And we... reunited again.

[She's starting to sound quite reluctant to talk about it. Not only because it's not her place to, exactly. That was also the afternoon they rushed up to the roof and... Yeah.]

[Conan's noted the reluctance -- but learning more about their situation is of much higher priority than some awkwardness.]

Yeah, there were weird cases of people suddenly becoming, well, apathetic to the world around them... They kept rising over time. They would just sit there and collapse without being able to do anything... not that they were dead or anything, just... apathetic.
