[action]

[Anyone passing through Odin District may notice this prosecutor conversing with a very familiar snowman near the library. His arms are crossed, and he taps his right upper arm with his left index finger as he waits patiently for this winter visitor to speak. He's a little relaxed...although some tension remains. Because seriously HE'S ( Read more... )

I had to find a button. And, um, I did. [ she holds up a silver rune. ]

That is your reward, I take it?

Yes! I went to other districts too, but, um, I think they only "test" their own people.

Oh? You have tried approaching other snowmen?

Oh wow, so everypony had to do somethin' different?

For me, some snowlady was paintin' and she asked me to pose, so I did! [there's a pause as she runs over to grab said painting, and holds it up for the video, looking really proud]

She said I could have it, an' she also gave me this! [points to a looovely white scarf around her neck]

["Everypony". She must come from the same world as Twilight Sparkle, one of his housemates. YOU HAVE TWILIGHT TO THANK FOR HIM NOT FLIPPING TABLES OVER THAT.

He examines the painting, and nods at it.]

Was that all? And yes, I believe one's task depends on one's patron god.

Uh huh, that's all! [hehe]

It sounds a bit more fun than what you had ta' do... oh, unless you really like riddles and all that stuff?

I do, yes. They are an excellent way to hone one's mental acuity.

[Sorry, Apple Bloom, he does this sometimes. And it's not that he actively searches for riddles, it's more like he welcomes any mental challenge.]

[It's nice to finally find questions that she can actually answer and people she can help, instead of having to watch everyone else flounder about with the same questions she has.]

There was one in Sigyn's district who asked me for something warm. I didn't have anything warm to eat or drink and I don't know how to cook so I gave him a scarf. He gave me a basket with candy and ice cream in return.

I see. So he never specified what he had in mind when he wanted "something warm"?

No. He didn't. I don't know if he really meant it had to be something that was warm since he did take a scarf and that's not exactly warm. It just keeps you warm when you wear it.

I'm a little confused about why a snowman would want to be warm. Doesn't warmth make snow melt?

A scarf is warm according to the point of view of the person who receives it and anticipates wearing it, I suppose. In any case, your answer was satisfactory enough.

Perhaps he has no plans of actually using anything he receives from this task, or can somehow withstand warmth unlike ordinary snowmen.

[When something smells is up, it must be the Butz the work of the gods.]

How to knock off its head.

[ only not really because lucille got angry first. ] And yes, I did.

...

It would seem to me that your encounter didn't go exactly as planned.

[Oh, Lucille.]

That guy started it, okay? I just finished it.

[ shut up it called her a lady. ]

[A sigh. Okay, Lucille, time for some specifics.]

Started what, exactly?

[Yuri approaches as Edgeworth is curiously examining his wrapped gift. It's not hard for him to guess what's happened here, considering he's already been through a very similar experience.]

I see you've won favor as well. I received a hat, myself.

[One can see the evidence of that fact on his head: a black hat in the Cossack style. It looks like something his grandfather might have worn, but it's cold out, and he won't complain.]

[He glances up from the gift, and at Yuri's hat, and gives a small grin.]

Congratulations. What was the riddle you solved?

[He nods, with a small smile of his own, his usual polite self, though inwardly he's quite annoyed at the situation. He doesn't care for riddles and games.]

Forever foe to what is wrong, men rage if I be lost by theft; I am what justice works to bring, and all you have when nothing's left.

[Perhaps Asgard knows him, or perhaps the appropriateness of the riddle was a coincidence. In either case, Yuri is not particularly amused, and he hopes it's not a joke at his expense.]

[He can't resist trying this riddle out; a little mental challenge is good, especially for someone whose profession thrives on mental challenges. Even if the riddle he had been given was rather easy for him.]

Rights. Am I correct?
