[ The video feed comes on, but Rika doesn't quite address everyone just yet. It looks like she's taking a moment to move some windows around on her touch screen. There's a troubled expression on her face for a few seconds, seeming like she's struggling. This sort of technology is something she isn't used to. She didn't even own a computer back home ( Read more... )

[A girl with the appearance of a twelve-year-old stares back vacantly through the screen.]

Oh yes, I do believe I've seen a snowman, though not the one you speak of. Really, to insult my intellect with such rudimentary riddles... I was expecting something much less boring. Though I suppose placing this ridiculous hat I received on someone's head would be adequate amusement.

A ridiculous hat... was that your prize? What does it look like?

[... With a look of utter disgust and contempt, Rachel holds up this beauty.]

[ She takes a moment to stare at that hat. No words. But, she's obviously in agreement that's a ridiculous hat. ]

Placing it on someone's head does sound like it would be entertaining.

[Rachel sighs with exasperation and tosses the hat over her shoulder with disdain.]

I suppose it's the only method of making the most of this aspersion. I confess, when I thought I could finally act... This most certainly isn't what I had in mind. I am not made for coarse work, after all.

What do you mean by "finally act"?

[Now, Rachel wasn't one to quickly give things away, even if it didn't matter here. So she starts off with being cryptic.]

Don't you think it would be far too boring to be audience for a never-ending play that repeats itself? The actors always give a wooden performance, never even bothering to stray from the script to change the ending.,.

What relief it was that I was finally allowed on the stage... but such a tragedy that I only wind up here when the real show was just beginning.

[ Rika's not one to give things away quickly either, but that kind of talk is familiar to her. It reminds her of the years when she was the most hopeless. ]

...It's only boring if you submit yourself to being an observer. Why watch when you can join in, unless there's some rule binding you to the audience.

This is an entirely new stage for all of us, which is why we're allowed on stage. The rules here are different.

[....

For the thousands of years she's live through, this isn't something she expected. Though it's somewhat surprising, at the same time she felt a tinge of excitement.]

Yes, I had only been bound until recently, and the plot had managed to go forward... A miracle, if you will.

Though I have interest in these new rules, being here considerably hinders my plans. I've no intention to stay if I can help it.

How long did you wait for that miracle?

Identifying the rules may be the key to breaking free from this world. I've no desire to stay here either.

I confess, I've no idea how long it took. Well over seventy-two thousand years worth of repetition, for counting had grown to be far too boring.

[Rachel's sharp red eyes lock with the violet ones of Rika.]

... You speak as if you understand. Who are you?

[ And then, a big smile. ]

...Rika. Furude Rika. Nipa~☆ [ That's how she'll introduce herself to the stranger for now, since "Rika Furude" was the name she was given. Though, she's not sure if she could call that her name anymore. "Rika Furude" is an innocent little girl... not a witch who tried to escape her fate for hundreds of years! ]

What's your name?

....

[Rachel manages to maintain her stoic face, though the corner of her lip gives a microscopic twitch. This girl... She's hiding something, but Rachel won't pry. It would be more entertaining this way.]

Rachel Alucard. It is... admirable... that you are able to keep up the good spirits in spite of these circumstances.
