[Gau can't help but smile and be a little amused. There's something uplifting is seeing someone else react to something this way. The messy-haired teen is sitting cross-legged on a floor, a notebook on his lap.]

It looks and feels just like the snow where I'm from. It's almost soothing, for that.

It's real, as far as I can tell. Man-made tends to have a slightly different texture, though I think the technology is improving.

Yeah, I know how the man-made snow feels, lived through enough of it. It's pretty close, but not the same as this real snow out here.

I've just felt it a few times, on trips with friends and things. I'm far more used to real snow. Is man-made snow ... the norm where you're from?

Sorta. If you're from the colonies, chances are you've only had man-made snow. They try to get it as close to the real deal as they can.

I'm thinkin' I like the real stuff better.

Not really much to talk about. Just earth and groups of people that moved out to space colonies.

[And you know. They're at war with each other. No big deal, nothing new.]

Did you have plenty of food and water? Were there a lot of social issues that happened? What about nationalism? Were there still clear divisions between races and countries that had existed on earth? Did you meet aliens?
