I don't believe being a kidnap victim could be considered a character building exercise. It can be quite traumatic. Also, kidnapping is both immoral and illegal.
I don't see the harm in entertaining people. [After all, it's best to keep the children calm and occupied.] But I'd rather pursue justice and freedom.

I also don't feel honored in the least. I'd prefer to have been consulted on the matter. [Fun? That is not something he is interested in. He just wants to return home. He's also not very good at talking to children, though he remains perfectly polite and even-toned.]
