[A young, skinny girl in a plainly oversized cloak, mismatched alongside her modern clothes, comes in to Heimdall House from the cold and blows on her hands before entering the kitchen for a snack -
- just in time to see the big guy fall over, but not in time to realize how it happened. Even though he gets up, she's still worried, and comes sprinting into the room.]
[ And yet the person who's already there with the guy re-figuring out which way is up again seems... utterly unconcerned with his plight. She glances at the new girl obliquely, lips pressing together, but says and does nothing aside from continuing to lean on the table.
[She glances from one of them to the other, a little surprised by one being so placid and the other so cheerful. Are they friends...? They seem like weird friends.]
Oh... that's good, then.
Oh, but the chair's broken. D'you think we should tell someone so that it can get fixed?
Oh, that. [He frowns, staring down at the chair on the ground, then shrugs and picks it up with one hand.]
They'll figure it out, I guess! [And it's tossed aside into some arbitrary corner... because it's in his way. Then Snow will just grab another chair and drag it into his spot.]
[ Look, she speaks! But not in a very enthusiastic way at all, to be honest. She doesn't even move save to turn her head just enough to look down her nose at the fallen and now discarded piece of furniture.
And then back over to aim a very unimpressed look at the man responsible. ]
H-Hey - ! [She reaches out, but it's too late - the chair's thrown into a corner, and probably broken even worse now. With an impatient little sniff, she crosses her arms over her chest.]
Well, then, I'll tell someone we need a chair fixed.
[She glances at the woman, but her taciturn nature and striking beauty make a pretty intimidating combination, so Nakama has nothing to say to her just yet. She just works her way past them to the fridge, cloak billowing behind her.]
[He catches that look from Lightning. Lets it roll off him like a boss. Mainly because he's practically impervious to them by now. It's the whole hard-headed thing.
Probably why she has to resort to physical means, such as what occurred a moment ago...]
Hey, uh...
[He just got here and he's already ticking off someone who isn't Sis for once. Oops.
The fridge isn't far from where they've settled at the table, though, so his ever-cheerful voice just floats after the girl. Maybe a little louder so that it carries properly.]
It's just a chair, right? It'll be fiiine! So, do you plan on introducing yourself?
[ Psh, Lightning just shakes her head slightly and goes back to her own business-- although, actually, she's still listening in. It's not beneath her to try and learn more about the others hanging around the same House she's in, after all. ]

[For just a second, she looks like she's about to explode. But eventually, it works its way down to a low simmer.]
We live here, but it's not really our property, is it? It still belongs to the gods. So we've got to take care of it, out of respect for them giving us so much.
Hey, even if they're offering their generosity, they still brought us here without our permission. So that- [He kicks a random piece of wood out of his way, sending it skittering into the corner where he tossed the rest of the broken chair.] -means I'm not gonna be a polite guest.
[In spite of his words, though, he levels another smile in the girl's direction. Hey, going from ready-to-burst to neutral is still an improvement, right?]
[ Does Lightning get introduced again without her saying anything too, Snow? NOT THAT SHE CARES OR WHATEVER, but she does glance over at him while he drawls out his own weird way of saying his name. ]
Well then... you should respect the other people who have to live here. We've all got to share this space, and if no one cares about it, then it'll fall apart in no time.
[Nakama spares a glance at Lightning - all this silence is making her nervous. She's waiting for a jab or snide remark, because her bullies used to lurk in exactly the same way before striking.]
Weeellllll... I guess when you put it like that...
[Grinning awkwardly now, Snow cautiously rubs the back of his head as he turns his gaze behind him at the pile of broken wood in the corner. Then he'll be lumbering over to pick it up like a scolded child, frowning a bit as he stares at the dislodged legs and the cracked seat.]
Think they keep any tools around here for us to use?
[ ... Apparently not. The woman lets out a breath, vaguely impatient, but then... just lets it drop and lay still unaddressed. She's not particularly interested in running around sharing her name with just anyone who happens to look her way, anyway.
She is, however, so abraded at the direction this little scene is flowing in. ]

Ah - are you okay?!

Yep. ]

Hm.]
Oh, yeah. I'm fine, don't worry! [Snow flashes the girl an easy grin. He's suffered worse before. At Lightning's hands or otherwise.] Thanks for asking, though.
