racism
Why is it that white people aren't allowed to say anything that might be remotely antagonizing towards a minority but anyone can crack on them? Why do businesses get sued for not giving minorities a chance, but the Charlotte Bobcats can hire an entire management staff consisting of nothing but African Americans and no one calls them out on it? Why is it that white people are racists the moment they allude towards anything regarding another race, but other races are not subject to the same treatment? I know I'm a minority and that I shouldnt feel bad for the man thats putting us down, but it just makes no sense to me. Racism is racism is racism no matter how you slice it. A lot of you think I'm racist because of some of the comments I make. I suppose that's a fair assumption. I'd probably think I was racist if I heard those comments from the outside. But what if all I commented on were white people? Then I'm just sticking it to the man right?
I'm so stupid, I meant to get some black ink from Dell. But instead I ordered a color cartridge. So I called them, but they said that it would cost me more to ship the ink back to them then it would for me just to place a new order for a black cartridge. It's so stupid that Dell won't sell ink for their printers anywhere but online.
I start at Panera again tommorrow night. 5-10 shift over at the Summit. They asked me to come in today, and I prolly woulda done it if I wasn't just exhausted. I think the managers at this one are supposed to be pretty cool or so Ive heard.
The Auburn thing
Ok, for those of you that dont know what I'm talking about, an Auburn prof came forward and said that he gave really easy grades in a class he teaches, a class that includes several football players. So not as bad as the Coaching 101 class that they taught at Georgia during the Harrick or whatever years, but still grade stuffing. Well, the New York Times broke the story. Now the Times owns several smaller local newspapers, one of which happens to be the Tuscaloosa Times. So they were talking about it on Jim Dunaway's show on JOX, and some caller calls in and accuses Alabama of conspiring to bring down Auburn. His logic? Since the New York Times owned that paper in Tuscaloosa, that was the only reason the Times broke the story. Dunaway then proceeded to read some of the other papers that the Times owns. One in Gator country, one in Florida State country, one around USC, South Carolina, LSU, Georgia, so on so forth. Point being that if you want to go conspiracy theory on this and say that another team's fans had something to do with it, dont automatically just assume Alabama's the culprit. Furthermore, there is a Auburn grad on the staff that has a LOT of influence on the paper. She wrote a piece about the whole Petrino thing a few years ago that definitely wasn't very flattering of the Auburn program. I didnt hear anyone claim Alabama had a conspiracy theory against that one.
