I had a great experience yesterday. I teach at a public high school so Valentine's Day is usually a horrible day - there are giant stuffed animals, chocolate, and flowers everywhere and I am aromantic as well as asexual, so I find it all a bit grating

That is a really nice story. It is nice to feel respected and welcomed, no matter what. I am happy for you.

I spent much of Valentines Day cleaning up after exploding chocolate, in a desperate fermentation experiment. I realise these are somehow fertility symbols, which is ironic, but not as difficult as was the mess I had to deal with.

Sometimes reality is the best priority.

And gossip or innuendo or judgment or bias are not.
