Sorry, I know this has been asked a gazillion times. I just need a little help.
This morning I had a conversation with my sister about relationships and sexuality. More than once I have told her that I'm not interested in sex or dating. They simply don't appeal to me. This is really difficult for her to understand. Her teen years on the streets sleeping with various random men for money and survival burned her out on sex but she doesn't understand how someone could go through life without dating. Her argument is that it's a very lonely life and that I don't know what I'm missing because I've never experienced it. She's been telling me this for years but it bothers me even more now than ever since we live together.
How can I explain it to her without coming off as needlessly defensive?
