Question for any other male asexuals in here

Something interesting occured to me today, and I was curious if any other guys here have a simillar experience. How often do you find you have to shave? I've heard people recently talk about being annoyed at having to do it every day, and I only have to do it every two weeks or so. It occurs to me that this could easily be a hormone thing, ( Read more... )

I always assumed that it's from me being a "late bloomer"...but I don't have to shave often at all...but I'm only 18. I can guess the reason I'm not hairy is because I'm still a virgin?

What does virginity have to do with hairiness?

My hormones aren't as raging and wild as they would be if I had alot of sex by now.

Eh, I don't really think that virginity has anything to do with it, honestly.

I shave my face about every 3 days, lest I show a rather significant stubble forest upon my face.

If you let it go a little longer, that stubble forest will turn into something glorious. :)

**laughs** Trust me, not something glorious.

Lack of testosterone in males and females have been found as the cause of many people's low sex-drives in many cases. Low T-levels also effect hair growth, so I would assume you're correct, however I doubt that every asexual has low levels of said hormone, asexualism can also be caused by environmental factors.

I think that's narrowing it down quite a bit much, there's other hormones one would look at, like estrogen and progesterone. And just because it's been shown that low testosterone levels correlates to low sex-drives that doesn't mean that every other case of a low-sex drive with a high testosterone level MUST be caused only by environmental factors.

Did I say that? I was just talking about what he had said, and estrogen levels do not affect hair growth, so I didn't think it was something I needed to talk about. You're just being nit picky. No where in my comment did I even say the word only, so shut it.

Well, way to be a huge bitch. I hope it makes you feel really tough to tell me to shut it over the internet! Unfortunately for you, I can reply to your comments and that I shall do, since I see how much it bothers you to have an intelligent discussion or have someone make a legitimate response/observation to something that was missing in a discussion. I'm sorry that I like the details (which you call nit-picky), but it might help you to learn to be a little bit more thorough, as a lot of jobs are looking for someone with that skill these days.

But most of all missy, your threat response is obviously overreacting to my legit reply.
