Twdrama Green forest, my home (2005) review:
Synopsis:
The story begins when the four main characters are just children. Luo Shan's father is chauffer to the Su's who have a daughter, Sophie. Having been abandoned by her mother and occasionally beaten by her father, Luo Shan harbors feelings of inferiority and inadequacy. Luo Shan is envious of Sophie, believing that if given the same opportunities as her, she could be as happy. Then, Luo Shan's father dies in an accident and the Su's take her in, renaming her Susan. Sophie's mother hopes that Sophie will treat Susan as her older sister and not tell anyone that Susan is adopted. Being kind-hearted and easy-going by nature, Sophie is easily taken advantage of by Susan, who decides that everything Sophie has, she must have too. Her jealousy also extends to Sophie's close friendship with Yuan Fang.
Review:
This drama very nice to watch. The story very interesting. It shows a few interesting situations, esp the legend about green light. Really interesting to see a main actress going after her beliefs. She remembered her childhood friend and loved him ever since. Such strong feelings that never changed, even after YF tried so hard to change her feelings. Unbelievable that first childhood love endured such things and existed. Nowadays it just don't work. People change and their feelings too.
YF was very charming.. he didn't got the love he tried so much to get, but he was sincere and well mannered, like a true gentleman so i pitied him all the way.
William was charming but not enough for me! he was typical character. There was not enough deepeness, not enough feelings.
Every episode smth happened, so it was really convincing. In the end when i was sure she didn't make it, the surprise came, but it was like in jdramas when u think someone died they shoe such trick, and u find out that she/ he is still alive. The expected wedding comes in the end but inly 10 min till the end it's just not enough.
But it works now this way. Still this drama makes u smile and the main actress delivers the story, and makes it enjoyable.
