Ohhhh I can't believe I'm writing my own fanaccount for a fanmeeting event of one of the five rising Gods in my life. IT'S STILL SURREAL FOR ME. THIS IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.
It's been a while since I attended events like this and I'm afraid to experience embarrassing moments again. If you would review the unlucky moments I had in attending events, you could say I'm really the queen of unfortunate souls. Lost a damn shoe, walking home barefooted, getting cancellation and refunds, and now, not being picked on the fansigning event. Not to mention, we had the ~best~ (notice the sarcasm) organizer in town. Life is always unfair.
By the way, it's been what, 10 years since I started embracing the Cassiopeia fandom. Just like everyone, I really had a hard time during their split. But as time passes by, things are getting smoother as I see hints of OT5... enough for us to go on and keep the faith.
PHILIPPINES? FOR REALS??
It all started on Jaejoong's VLive months ago. He was telling fans to anticipate his comeback projects (he just got discharged from the korean army earlier this year) as a singer and actor. One of those projects are his upcoming fanmeeting event, and we Filipino fans were thrilled when he mentioned our country. He is finally coming back here!! If you didn't know, Jaejoong already visited the Philippines back in 2006 for a commercial filming with TVXQ members. Finally, our country is included on his map. LOL
We purchased VIP tickets online on the first day of ticket sales, October 21, 2017. There were glitches tho (insufficient amount, losing better seats, annoying promoter ugh) but we managed to snag Row 9 seats. It costs almost 12,000php (around 200$?). Too expensive for a fanmeeting event but it's the rare Kim Jaejoong so I had no regrets. Every time I pass around Araneta Coliseum and see a bit of his promotional videos and pictures, I feel giddy inside. The Big Dome would never be the same again for me, thanks to him. Friends around me were also excited for me because they know how much I've waited for this moment.
November 29, 2017, he took a flight from Incheon to Manila. The moment he landed I was like "OMG WE FINALLY BREATHE THE SAME POLLUTED AIR!" LOL. The fact that he was just staying in the hotel NEAR MY WORKPLACE UGH THAT FREAKS ME OUT HUHU I used up my breaktime to pass by Novotel and admire the building where Jaejoong is staying. I can't believe he was just staying in Cubao, Quezon City?? Like what the hell my idol for almost 10 years is only a few streets away from me. I was actually laughing 'cos it sounded like a bluff but it's really true. The night before the event, I couldn't sleep a blink. That feeling when I'm about to attend the school field trip for the first time. I only had 3 hours of sleep.
D-DAY!! Saw a lot of familiar faces (fandom friends, frenemies, etc.) on the venue, those people I never thought I would be seeing again after so many years. Kim Jaejoong brought us together, indeed. There were fellow fans hugged me after the fansigning event. I was so happy for them, despite being bitter for not being chosen. I passed my gift for him and my selca with questions in it before lining up.

Inside the venue, the hype is on! Ate Kring Elenzano-Kim was the host, a fellow Cassiopeia. She is a long time TVXQ fan, since 2004. FANGIRL GOALS INDEED! I really love her hosting style, with her sassy personality and wit. I always see her in gatherings and she's still the same kalog Kring. She was right, we are Titas of KPOP... mga lumang tao ng PH KPOP FANDOM. Haha.
(i went closer to the stage cos ate kring asked for fans who has a visible mole on their face (but i didnt make it) BUT I SAW HIM UP CLOSE AND HE'S DEFINITELY AN ANGEL SENT FROM ABOVE HE'S GLOWING)
Kim Jaejoong's pictures, his videos I see online and the Kim Jaejoong in real life are truly the same. So ethereal. So handsome. His intense stares and tongue-slips and his flawless milky white skin UUUUGH HIS VOICE IS BETTER THAN WHAT I HEAR ON CDS AND DVDS!! His giggles and laughter were so cute I just wanna squish him and hide him on my pocket T^T He's legit speaking in Filipino and OMG HIS CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH IS GETTING BETTER YAY how's that Park Yoochun, your hyung is better english-speaker than you now. His melancholic voice resonated the whole dome. Indeed, he sings live very well as if he eats audio CDs for breakfast. He commented that the Philippines is truly a country of music, cos he knows Filipinos love to sing. So, will you consider getting a Filipino collaboration soon?
The theme of the fanmeet is pajama party, but I didn't follow the dress code. I'd rather not stand out, thank you. Haha. Fans asked him questions through selca pictures (mine was almost chosen huhu too bad he missed it) and he asked back through "Knowing Jaejoong" or "Kim Jaejoong Uknow?" (I GIGGLED WHEN MC KRING SAID THIS HUHU) segment. When asked for his inspiration, me and my fellow YunJae stans chanted to Yunho's name. I hope he got the message. LOL. I can see he was having fun while playing charades with fans on stage. He's such a gentleman when he lend his polo shirt to the fan who's wearing a revealing nighties. He tried Filipino's famous "pulutan" (foods while drinking) chugging his newly-favorite San Miguel beer. He hummed to OPM songs (he hummed to Side A's Forevermore which really caught me off-guard, that's why it's the title of this fanaccount) and wow, he's just like me whenever I hear songs for the first time... really great at picking up the pace. He also danced to some of Filipino dance craze and granting embarrassing dares. He was really into the challenges, such a humble cutie.

Jaejoong sang 6? 7 songs, I forgot. One of the songs is my favorite, Run Away. I remember writing an angst YJ fic through this song. When he sang Now is Good, he smiled on our banner project. On his last ment, he was teary-eyed while telling us how genuine and sincere were his intentions for going back here in the Philippines. He's being insecure again, afraid people won't call him back after a short trip to backstage. We've waited for so long, how can we ever get over him? Moving on is very impossible right now.

There were a lot of issues circling around this event (heck the fanmeeting event was about to cancel) BUT THE KIM JAEJOONG MADE IT POSSIBLE!! His intense love for the fans is soooo overwhelming, I can feel it throughout the event. I never regret anything, because you did your promise. And you promised to come back. You are definitely worth the wait, 김재중.
