Broke my ankle.

I don't do New Year's resolutions.

And how. I am so behind on my quilting.

Way too many.

None. Although Arkansas felt foreign.
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
A better diet and more free time.

There are lots. Much as I'd like to forget it, I think I'm going to remember the whole damned year.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Keeping my shit together.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Going up a pants size.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Broken ankle.

Canon Powershot G10. Although this year has made me acutely aware that stuff does not equal happiness.

Kind of a weird question, isn't it? The Mister really showed his true colors taking care of me with my bum ankle.

The vocal minority of McCain/Palin supporters.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Mortgage, creampuff, living.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
I guess the election, although I did watch a couple of UPS tracking numbers more than was healthy.

Lots of things.

Ankle breaking.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Spent in our four-day around-the-state extravaganza. The highlight was meeting new babies and staying at the in-laws cabin.

I stayed there, I guess.

I try not to hate, but I wish that whoever hijacked religion for the purposes of conservative politics would just go away.

Really enjoyed His Dark Materials trilogy.

Not great or hip by any stretch of the imagination, but I had a moment of pure organic love for the Presidents of the United States of America while driving to the airport in Omaha one early morning. They write the kind of songs I would write.

New camera.

Um. Superpowers? More free time?

I dunno -- probably Burn After Reading.

Bland, modular, lots of hoodies.

My husband and our furry family.

Fancy as in lust after? No one really. Fancy as in admire? Probably Obama, though Tina Fey is a close second.

The return of common sense.

If your tree produces fungus, call the arborist and harass him until he comes to evaluate it. Also, have at least one free hand when descending stairs.
