Other than the financial collapse, it was a great birthday-versary.
I arrived home to find not one, not two, but THREE sets of flowers waiting for me in my craft room (where they are safe from cats.) All of 'em were daisies, which are my favorite flowers, and one of them involved chocolate.
The mister and I went for dinner at Dish. We had red pepper artichoke dip as the appetizer, along with the house's cucumber and citrus-infused gin and tonics. He got mango duck, and I had a delicious ribeye with boursin/garlic mashed potatoes. The green beans that came with both of our dishes were perfectly done -- the kind of perfect that I can't even muster at home. Delicious.
We spent the rest of evening watching Young Einstein with the animals. It was delightful.
