I doubt you'll regret it. If it keeps working like so, I bet won't regret it. The fear is that being crappy and generic, it'll fall apart stop working, go through batteries like t.p., and/or be destroyed by a sneeze.
Mine's 2GB, weighs an ounce, and runs for about 15 hours on one AAA; paid I think $120 for it, which isn't bad. Sounds pretty sweet. Not a bad price depending upon when you bought it, as well as how much use you've gotten out of it. What brand is it out of curiosity? Anything I'd know?
I remember the stuff they were selling pre-iPod, it was like "Yeah! you can have 3 minutes of digital music for only 200 dollars!!!" I was thinking "I can burn CD's, so what's the point?", and now of course ... Pretty cool, business, eh? Go technology! Go capitalism!
It's my favorite toy by a wide margin. Comes in handy on long trips! I think I'm beginning to see what you mean

awes... or more aptly 'Craptastic!' Hopefully mine will hold up and be as pleasing as yours seems to have been.
(With the exception of a freak accident, which may've blown out a usb port), so far so great. I think I got a real bargain. (save for the nixed port), I feel like I may have already gotten my money's worth.

yes, actually I do not think I'll die this year of the fuckliver™. Good. I thought this was generally understood.
You write/post about going out and doing stuff, makes it seem things are doing alright, if not pretty well considering. This probably comes with numerous untold complications, but still 'living' and maybe quite well at that?
I certainly hope that's the case, and remains so.
No I'm the leftist motorcyclists who enables. I think motorcycles would be good. They're more dangerous than knitting, but also more fuel efficient.
¿Leftist? You sure? I thought you were something different. I don't recall you sticking a gun to my neck and telling me to feel good about being robbed for charity. A different shade of red? Good reasons to be any of the above I suppose. Sadly everyones' "good reasons" usually seem to empower everyone elses' bad intentions.
i think i might have coined the term 'craptastic', but i prefer 'creepasaurus' currently!
I am so jealous you live where they have sonics. up north we get the commercials but we don't have any, so thats just plain cruel!
i have the old ipod and i love it. i've had it for three years and nothings gone wrong yet, plus it has a really good life before needing a battery re-charge.
i think i might have coined the term 'craptastic', That was my thought, but I wasn't 100% certain. It seems very much your style.
but i prefer 'creepasaurus' currently! I'm bringing back 'craptastic'. I don't dig 'creepasaurus' as much -- you haven't 'made it cool' yet. Besides, that word seems like it's just waiting to attach to someone like myself.
I am so jealous you live where they have sonics. up north we get the commercials but we don't have any, so thats just plain cruel! That's funny! Before this incident, I was thinking it's really annoying: you go through any squat town, there maybe one gas station, one street, and big ugly red sonic. They're freakin' everywhere! I suppose winter would hurt them there more {shrugs}? Tons of Sonics, no few Starbucks

I have this guy and I love it. If you're ever in the market for something bigger, I definitely recommend it. I just wish it had AM radio. Why doesn't anything ever offer that? Do people not listen to AM anymore? That makes me sad.
Also, I love Sonic, but I haven't been to one since I've been to Tennessee. That's a long time. They pretty much surround my general area, without really coming close to me at all. That also makes me sad.

I keep stumbling on praise for Creative Labs' stuff... though as I'll probably being gearing up Apple, in the computer dept. It generally makes sense to iPod. What features does it have vs. an iPod, or is it just a better cost/quality ratio, or just what you have and you're pleased w/ it?
I just wish it had AM radio. Why doesn't anything ever offer that? I take it, it's FM only? A cost cutting thing. I looked at some of the add ons, and it is weird -- F.M. everywhere, no A.M. Receivers and transmitters (transmitters make sense 'cause who wants to listen to their iPod via an A.M. connection?).
Do people not listen to AM anymore? Yes, but fewer and fewer

What do you enable?
