Big involved thing... Now I remember. Also interesting to note that I was just watching "The Trial" and Holtz is mentioned as the vampire killer following Angelus & Darla.
I thought it'd be amusing if when he came back for this episode (before I knew it was going to happen), that he'd clumsily knock the jar over That would have been great.
liked him?!?! Amazing. He (Vincent) played it pretty well too, since he was walking a fine line between remembering and not last night. He was okay. He got to be less annoying since he's different now. Probably a relief for the actor "Good, now maybe they won't hate me." I know, it's strange. I really couldn't stand him the first time around. I guess he's okay in small, non-whiny doses. Same deal as with Cordy I guess. She was more tolerable in "You're Welcome" than as saint/evil Cordy all of season 4.
I was given the impression not so much. So what did you think Connor meant by his last line then?
This one was quite good, I think last week's was better. I liked them both, not sure which one more. A nice problem to have.
I just wanted to say that.ascii_70_85April 26 2004, 22:23:31 UTC

I like when they mention things like that a season or so ahead. They did that with the mayor, in 2.19 "I Only Have Eyes For You", I think, and a bit with Dawn here and there supposedly.

Thanks. though granted that would been a bit of a rip off, but it made a bit of sense at the time. It's weird too, because he was kind of a bad-ass when he first arrived. "The Destroyer" and all.

Cordy's S4 antics were much forgivable after 6 solid years of whatever they wanted her to be for the moment. Though I do prefer anything to evil /melodramatic.

One could say he knows subconsciously. I don't think he knows in any real fashion, other-wise maybe he would've said something like "I hate you Angel! Die Die Die."
Either-way I don't think we'll see him again, 'til the mini-series at least.
You do make an interesting point, after Gunn, I'm putting no great weight behind this opinion, about what he knows or whether he'll return.

though granted that would been a bit of a rip off, but it made a bit of sense at the time. It's weird too, because he was kind of a bad-ass when he first arrived. "The Destroyer" and all. It's occasionally funny when they have the big build-up for nothing. Like "Fear, Itself" for example.

I took it that he knew and was letting Angel know that he appreciated the sacrifice and therefore was going back to his life. Interesting that they left it so... ambiguous(?)
Either-way I don't think we'll see him again, 'til the mini-series at least. I agree with that. Mostly. It seemed more final than the Gunn thing.
