It's official...

My boss doesn't have lyme disease.

I, on the other hand, am afraid I will catch whatever ailment has taken the lovely voice of my cohabitant, leaving her sounding like a frog. It's really weird.
But instead of resting, she wanted to go to the bar, go swimming, and sit through Batman Begins with no A/C in the sold-out thearte. I, of course, was next to her while she coughed and wheezed all day. I'll be hitting the vitamin C pretty hard in the immediate future.

Batman was OK. We were kind of through with prequels, but I enjoyed the un-campiness of it all. Bale just doesn't have the chin for the job. Plus his voice was annoying. The scare-crow looked like a girl, or at least some kind of emo reject. Oldman's mustache was so fake I couldn't help thinking of Ben Stiller in Starsky and Hutch. And the beginning of the film was just too Highlander-like for me to think of it as original.
The action was hot. So hot. The theater was hot, so hot. Apparently the people before complained that the theater was too cold. So the folks at Regal just turned off the A/C. For a sold out show, that is not a good idea. There was no air circulating and all you could smell was people. It was G-d awful. We got mad movie passes though, so now I'm set up to see a bunch of movies this summer. It just has to be at a Regal.
Let that be an example that when anything happens that messes up your movie going experience, all you have to do is complain and you will get your money back and some free passes.
