January: I've been seeing something lately, not here actually, in another place, and I know this post would be best suited there but I'd feel like talking to the void if I posted there (not that I'm not usually talking to myself here but still I don't feel like shouting at echoes on LJ) so I'm writing it here. - Tumblr is not always a sane place…

June: Looks like Alexander Skarsgard said in an interview that the best kiss of his entire career was the one he shared with Ryan Kwanten in True Blood. - Also, hi, still Chicca. Addicted to cute boys kissing.
July: Imagine a spoiler. And then imagine the biggest spoiler one could ever think of. - Sherlock related ;)
August: I have received a couple of very lovely messages from people who heard about the earthquake the center of Italy suffered last night and were worried about me. - Scary times. Also, thank you :)
September: Just in case you were thinking about giving a new series a go but are yet to decide which of the new ones you might like, let me tell you: "This is Us". - Yes. This. Do this. And also fun fact: every other post for this month was either a bday post or f-locked so in truth this first sentence belongs to the very last post of September.
October: Now, the broken violin string doesn't exactly bode well for the coming season, but we already knew it'd be a hard one. - The day of the official announcement: Sherlock season 4 in January 2017.
November: Fun fact: only two posts in November… both without words. Meme fail I guess…
December: It’s been almost a month since I last posted here, and even longer than that since I actually posted a personal entry and not something related to fandoms or to birthdays. - *points to November* See? *shakes head*

Fannish meme, 2016 edition
1. Your main fandom of the year? Can’t say I’ve been in any fandom this year, tbh. Judging by the amount of fanfiction I read (not as much as I used to, tbh,) I’d say my main fandoms have been Sherlock, Hannibal, and Person of Interest this year but I haven’t been active in any of those. Just reading, ogling pretty gifs/pics, watching or re-watching the episodes.
2. Your favourite film watched this year? Doctor Strange. I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. Ben was amazing but what else is new? Mads was spectacular also but vastly underused and his character underdeveloped. Marvel villains usually are I’m told.
3. Your favourite fanfiction read this year? Wasn't easy, tbh, but in the end I settled for Tarmac, a Sherlock/John post season 3 fix-it fic that, amongst the many I read, was the most satisfying for me. NC-17 and with many tags you should read beforehand (they include Parentlock - I know this is not everyone's cup of tea, - Scars, References to torture and drug use, and angst. Happy ending ensured, of course!)
And here's the summary: That's the thing about secrets, they tend to weigh an awful lot. Little secrets and little lies are nothing we can't carry, a few extra quid in your pocket. But big secrets, real secrets, the things that prey on you - those turn you into Atlas. He feels those three little words like bile at the back of his throat, corrosive.

A fix-it starting from the end of hlv and ending up with a johnlock/parentlock situation. A whole lot of angst and pining in between.
4. Your favourite TV show of the year? This is Us. Best new show of the last 10 years at least. It hits all the right buttons and it makes me laugh and cry at the same time. I love every second of it, and I’m still not telling you anything more because you need to watch that first episode without knowing what you’ll find. It’s the only way.
5. Your favorite song of the year?
6. Your favorite actor of the year? Still him, no change there: Benedict Cumberbatch.
7. The movie that surprised you the most this year. Bridget Jones’ Baby. I had loved the first movie and loathed the second so I wasn’t sure what to expect from this third installment. I enjoyed it a lot in the end, and I laughed my butt off, so that was a nice surprise.
8. The new show(s) you started watching this year. This is Us, Stranger Things, Westworld. I adore the first, liked the second, and tolerated the third. I also watched, and enjoyed, Victoria and The Crown that I thought were miniseries but I heard there will be more seasons so yay.
9. The show(s) you stopped watching this year. Sleepy Hollow, Reign, Quantico, OUAT. To be honest the only one I completely dropped with no intention of ever, EVER, picking it up again is Sleepy Hollow. The others I’ve let go for now but I’m still collecting episodes (eh ehm…) and storing them for possible future viewing. We’ll see if that will happen.
10. Favorite character of the year. Randall Pearson, played by Sterling K. Brown, in This is Us. Seriously guys, watch that show!!!!!!!
11. Most hated character of the year. Negan, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, in The Walking Dead. Because I hate bullies with shit-eating grins, a tendency of talking way too much, and a deep love for violence, murder, rape, and torture. Yeah, I know, I’m weird…
12. Favorite couple of the year. Rick and Michonne from The Walking Dead. Not sure if this is cheating since I think the two got together last season (?) but they had lovely moments this season too so…
13. Least favorite couple of the year. Elizabeth and Tom Keen from The Blacklist. I love Tom actually and I used to love Lizzie too before she became incredibly annoying, but the two of them together? No. Nope. Ugh.
14. Movies anticipations for the New Year? Beauty and the Beast, Logan, Hidden Figures, Wonder Woman, Thor: Ragnarok (mostly because it looks like Ben’s Doctor Strange will make an appearance there too,) and Star Wars Episode VIII (with a heavy heart though…) Also The Dark Tower but this I’m anticipating with trepidation because I usually loathe movies taken from books I love, and The Dark Tower series is a lifelong favorite of mine. So yeah, scared and hopeful. Mostly scared.
15. TV shows anticipations for the New Year? Well, Sherlock obviously since season 4 is on starting January 1st, but also I’m very much looking forward to amazon losing the rights to Hannibal so that maybe some other place (*coughs*Netflix*coughs*) can finally buy them and bring back my show! There’s talk of it, the actors are all keen to be back, my beloved genius Bryan Fuller wants to do more so… please?
Now, tomorrow will not only be the first day of the New Year. No. Tomorrow is Sherlock Day. Well, not for me actually because I will only be able to watch the episode on Jan 2nd, but you know what I mean. Will be going underground and stay away from everything even resembling an internet connection until I've seen the show, but since I can't ever seem to help myself, and since Tumblr is not a safe space to freely talk about Sherlock (or anything at all,) I suppose you'll have one of my idiotically rambly posts about the episode soon enough. Fair warning?
