PSA re: spam emails
It looks like someone is using my name to send spam emails. None of my RL friends have received these emails, only friends from LJ, and when I contacted my email provider they told me my own account hasn't been hacked.
Since two of my LJ friends have contacted me recently to tell me they'd got emails with my name sent from a bogus @dogukan.jp account, I thought to make it clear that if you receive something with my full name on it but all there is in the email is a link DO NOT click on the link, DO NOT open the email, it is NOT from me, ok?
I suspect it's something to do with LJ tbh since only LJ peeps are getting this spam, so I also opened a support request here to ask if they know something/can do something about it.
Have no idea what else I can do to prevent this from happening again so I'm just telling you now that the only email account that has my full name on it is my private one and only 3 people on LJ have it. I don't have any other account with my full name so if you receive something it is not from me, but I'm still sorry if that happens. I wish there was something more I could do.
