Of Christmas and Television

Dec 16, 2014 15:22

Thank you so much my darling mitakay for the gorgeous Christmas Card!!!! So sweet and thoughtful of you to think of me :) ♥

I want to take this chance to say that I won't be doing Christmas Cards this year either (which may have been already apparent due to the lack of "who wants a card from Italy?" post.) I have a few reasons of my own, starting from the fact that I truly don't want it to be Christmas this year. But check your userinfo close to the holidays, okay? ;)

Now, today it's grey and rainy. It's also cold and kinda depressing. So I decided to come here and annoy the hell out of you chat about TV. Almost every show I watch aired its mid-season finale by now so it's time *nods nods nods* Yeah, you can skip it, I won't mind *g*

Spoilers galore for everything so be warned.

The Walking Dead - LOVE the new badass Rick to bits! Lol! Had to be said first thing *g* They started out with a bang and the first three episodes took my breath away. Episode 4 and 5 were.... yeah, boring, sorry to say. Episode 6 was once more up to the task of taking my breath away while episode 7 only delivered a couple of good scenes. But boy did episode 8 make up for the boring episodes or what?? Not too sad about Beth's death, tbh, since she was never a favorite. Bit of a pointless death but it's kinda good to still have those, you know? Not everybody needs to go out in flames. People can still die for stupid reasons, like suicide by cop, even in the zombie apocalypse... Oh well.

Revenge - Meh. How did we go from "OMG this show I love it I need it gimme mooooore!" to "*yawns* What if I fast-forward through this scene?"?? I tell you how: they resurrected David Clarke and he's a moron! Plus, by now I only care about Emily and my adorable bb Nolan so everything else's boring. Still, Daniel's death was shocking. I hated the guy by the end but his death still hit me. Fitting that he died in Emily's arms being said that not everything had been a lie, though.

Once Upon A Time - Loved the Frozen plot!!! The casting of Elsa and Anna was incredibly spot on and the whole plot was cute and very well done. Not entirely happy with how easy it was in the end to get rid of the Snow Queen but that episode delivered the most amazing duel between Regina and Snow White which ended in laughters and I adored that so *shrugs* Intrigued to find out about the Evil Dark Queens in the second half. Cruella DeVille is perfectly cast, imo!

Sleepy Hollow - Still loving it! Catrina is a bit useless and I wish they'd give Jenny more to do, but the interactions between Abbie and Ichabod are pure gold and I adore their friendship. Curious to see if Henry really is redeemable and... did the Captain really die? Me not likes.

The Blacklist - Definitely in the top 5 favorite shows! James Spader is perfection, I love Red so much I can't even begin to say how much. Also love many other characters and almost every single plot. I'm just a tiny bit fed up with the secrets... they're milking it a bit too much, imo. Is Red Lizzie's father or not? Just say it, dammit! LOL

Person of Interest - Also known as "the show that gave me my very first femslash ship"! They're not even subtle anymore, are they? Root is so very clearly in love with Sameen and it doesn't really looks like Sam minds ;) I love them so much! So kinky and cute and adorable :) Oh and I also love the show, of course *g* Very intrigued to find out what The Machine told Harold to do and how they will start to fight back against Samaritan.

The Flash - I started this show for one reason and one reason only: I'd read it would crossover with Arrow and wanted to be up to speed when the crossover episodes would happen. I fell completely in love with this little amusing show and with Barry Allen. I absolutely *adore* Barry's relationship with Joe! Best father figure ever! I also absolutely love how they always add this 10 seconds long scene at the very end of each episode to give us a glimpse of what's going on being the scenes with the Professor/Reverse Flash. Nicely done.

Arrow - Also known as "the Felicity Smoak show" because she's absolutely perfect and she needs to be in every single scene in every single episode ever. Lol! I also obviously love her with Oliver but I wish he'd stop pushing her away with one hand while pulling her back with the other. Still, the ILY said just before going to fight Ras was adorable and.... can you imagine how Felicity will react when they'll tell her that Oliver is "dead"??

American Horror Story: Freak Show - This season SUCKS. It's boring, all over the place, uninteresting, not remotely scary (the only scary thing was Twisty and they killed him off after a few episodes,) stupid, overcomplicated and I feel pity for the characters while I think I'm supposed to be scared of repulsed in their opinion. No. Nope.

Reign - Yeah, I love it, sue me. I know it'll definitely get cancelled but I can't help it! I enjoy this unbelievably historically inaccurate little show and all its crazy characters. Plus, the dresses alone would be reason enough to watch, imo. Not entirely happy about the rape scene but I'm glad the plot wasn't used to feed the manpain like I feared: happy it was Mary the one to kill those bastards.

HTGAWM - Without any doubt this show is my favorite new show of the season. It's thrilling, funny, amusing, shocking, interesting, sexy and you can never, ever think you know what's coming next 'cause believe me, you don't! Plus, Connor and Oliver are adorable and soooooo cute :)

Elementary - It's boring all things considered but I still like the interaction among the characters and I'm enjoying the relationship between Sherlock and Kitty. Like a father figure, tbh. I do think Kitty's gonna die soon, though. Not entirely sure what exactly they're trying to prove with the Holmes/Watson dynamic which, aside from one scene in one episode, seems a little off to me but I'm not invested enough to really care.

Grimm - They took so long in giving Nick his powers back that I was dangerously close to losing it, but he's back and all is well now :) I adore Sean Renard, my bb Monroe (who's in danger now!!!!! Do not hurt Monroe!!!!! Damn cliffie!) is still the best, I love Rosalie and I warmed up to Trubel. Juliette is kind of useless to me but it'll be intriguing to see her as a Wessen now.

H50 - Well, it's not like I don't like it anymore because I do but... the show lost a lot of its shine in my eyes. I'm kinda miffed that it looks like the banter and the obvious slashy scenes between Steve and Danny are now just planted randomly in the episodes almost as if they want to give the fans a pat to the head, "See? There they are being cute. Now back to the actual plot." UGH. It wasn't like that before and I don't get why it is so now.

Constantine - Not bad. I know it's basically already been cancelled but I don't want to stop watching it because it's not bad at all. It's not stellar nor it could ever become a favorite but it's entertaining. It fills the void.

The Vampire Diaries - Please please please cancel this show and set me free! Please! I'm not physically able to stop watching by my own accord (I could if it was season 1 or 2 but season 6? I need closure by now!) but please take this show away! It deserves to crash and burn just for the way it treats Bonnie! And when I start fast-forwarding through any non-relevant to the plot scene with Elena that it's the main character, you know something's very wrong. My dream now would be to see Damon and Bonnie together, Stefan and Caroline together and Elena alone like she damn well deserves! /bitch

Supernatural - I liked the 200th episodes a whole lot. I love Castiel, I adore Crowley, I'm so amused by Rowena and her banter with Crowley. Don't much care for Sam, I'm not sure if they thought that cliffhanger was truly a cliffhanger with Dean because it fell a bit flat with me. Uh, yeah, that's about all I have.

White Collar - I can't believe it's almost over.... series finale this week. I'm going to miss Neal, Peter and Mozzie so much! And Elizabeth, Diana, Jones and the others, too! Awww why couldn't they cancel TVD and keep White Collar? No idea how they'll end the show, tbh... truly no idea. Hopefully they won't kill off Neal...*shudders*

Guess that's all for now. Still watching and liking "Orange Is The New Black" and I'll probably start watching a show called "The Fall" during the Christmas hiatus. What would I ever do witout TV?
