Life is being everything but kind with my family at the moment but I'm not yet ready to talk about it over here. Besides, since there's still one final thing that has to happen, I'm trying not to think about anything at all until that too has been dealt with. Basically what I'm doing these days when I have free time is to mindlessly watch TV shows and skim Tumblr.
There might also be a new 30 Days meme in my future just because I need something else to keep my head occupied. I probably will tell you all about what's wrong with me in the near future but if you feel like sparing me a thought or sending good vibes my way even if you don't know why, I'd be grateful.
Anyway, mindless post it is, then! Remember my rec-a-monday project? Here's three more recs, in three different fandoms, for your pleasure.
The first story I'm reccing is a feel good B/J story written by
xie_xie_xie. The title is "Remember This" and you can read it
here.
REMEMBER THIS
Word Count: Not Given. 1.442 according to my word doc.
Summary: This is a standalone about the first time Brian visited Justin in New York, in the time between Justin's departure and the re-opening of Babylon.
Pairing: Brian/Justin
As usual, with stories that are this short, I try not to say too much or I'll spoil the whole thing. I'll just say that this story is hot, sweet, very IC and that I can definitely picture this as a scene in the canon.

Second story is in the Sherlock fandom and it's a story I avoided reading for *centuries*. I just couldn't get behind the premises and I really didn't think I'd like it. It came highly recced and had the highest amount of kudos and comments over on AO3... and still I avoided it.
I was dead wrong and now I wish I'd read it sooner! The story is "Nature and Nurture" by earlgreytea68 and you can find it
here.
NATURE AND NURTURE
Word Count: 203.273 (yep, you read correctly *g*)
Summary: The British Government accidentally clones Sherlock Holmes. Which brings a baby to 221B Baker Street.
Pairing: Sherlock/John, Mycroft/Lestrade
Please don't make my same mistake and don't get put off by the summary. This fic is incredible, truly incredible. And Oliver - the baby - is the BEST thing in the entire story. Definitely a must read, imo.

Final rec is about Kirk and Spock *g* The story is "The Vulcan Heart" and it's by obsidianembrace. Read it
here.
THE VULCAN HEART
Word Count: 104.613
Summary: Where two halves make a whole… eventually. (Post-STID)
Pairing: Kirk/Spock
I'm not entirely sure what's considered IC in this fandom and what isn't. I suppose purists can always find OOCness if they want to. Spock can be considered a bit emotional at times in this fic but I enjoyed the hell out of it! This is one of those stories that you wish would never end because every new chapter makes you feel among friends. There's angst, of course there is, but there's also so much love. Beautiful.
Have a good week, f-list.
