Another anniversary... plus rec-a-monday: spangel.

It's my LJ Anniversary today :) Eight years... I mean *eight* years! How did that happen?? It seems only yesterday and instead when you check my userinfo it says I created this LJ in 2005. Wow.

Things are so very different around here these days. When I think back to 2005 and my first steps in fandom I remember this place being so much more alive and welcoming. Nowadays there's almost no one around anymore and we - me first of all - have become so much more guarded, too. Things change, of course, and sometimes they need to and they change for the best. Still, I remember being new around here and yet having no troubles being "accepted into the fold" quickly. These days it's not that easy anymore and, let's be honest, there's not much more "fold" to be accepted into anyway, is there?

Alright, nostalgia put aside, I want to thank each and everyone of you guys who are still around for being part of my days and for being awesome as always. Thank you for these 8 great years!

To celebrate, and to keep up with my 2005-related nostalgia, today for my Rec-a-Monday project I'll be reccing a Spangel fic. Spangel was my first love and Btvs-Ats were my first fandoms so I find it very fitting *nods* Details for my Rec-a-Monday project to be found here.

The story I'm reccing is "Remember Me" by Jenny, and you can read it HERE on her website.

REMEMBER ME
Word Count: Not Given. 86.377 according to my Word doc.
Summary: Spike has just had the tracer removed from his back. To keep them all safe, Giles takes everyone to Angel's in Los Angeles. Angel did not know about the chip and is shocked by the condition of his childe. They shelter at Angel's during a power cut, and the long night brings on intense memories for both vampires.
Angel and Spike find that memories are sometimes not enough.
Pairing: Spike/Angel

All of Jenny's stories are favourites of mine but "Remember Me" is definitely the one I love the most. It's been years, at least 3, since I've re-read it but I still hold it dear in my heart. Seriously, though, if you love Spangel you should check out Jenny's website and read every single thing she's written. You'll never regret it.
