I just watched the season finale of Revenge. Definitely my favourite new show along with Once Upon A Time and Touch. What amused me to no end and made me question the way a cliffhanger is plotted, though, was that... well, this is the third show which season finale ended on the same note.
The first was NBC's Hawaii five-0, the second was FOX's Grimm, and now ABC's Revenge. All end with
mothers previously thought dead that actually aren't. Hawaii five-0 and Grimm even end with the same scene! The main characters, Steve in H50 and Nick in Grimm, uttering a "Mom?" just before the final credits roll. Revenge, instead, just has the revelation of Emily's mother being alive.
Coincidences? Lack of imagination? Huh. I don't remember seeing three shows, aired on three different networks, ending on the very same note before. Weird.
Oh, and yes, I actually am carefully avoiding what seems to be the subject of the day, meaning Gale's new project (please God let it be a good one) not allowing him to go to Cologne for the convention. Guilty as charged.
