Perhaps a few days late, but it obviously couldn't be helped what with the castle giving itself a makeover the last few days. Fortunately, the ballroom was still very much intact and ripe for decorating. While the job had been rushed early that morning by a select few, one can hardly tell upon walking in.
Everything has been selected and arranged with care, but before you can enjoy it, first you must get through the door! There, Tomoe will respectfully greet each guest, asking them to leave weapons and shoes with her, while offering
slippers while they remain in the ballroom. All belongings will be returned upon exit!
The décor is not quite as ornate as it has been during past parties, but it certainly makes a statement. This it not a little girl's party, but a young woman's.
Music plays softly in the background, and although traditional, is emanating from surrounding speakers rather than a live player. Various paper lanterns are hung from the ceiling, all shapes and sizes, seemingly just for decoration for now while the lighting is still bright. Later, the blushing pink will be all the more noticeable over the matching table setting and darker hues of the table cloth and rug.
Across the room is a small shrine resting on a wooden table, and near that is a spot for guests to leave any presents they might have brought with them.
This is going to be a somewhat unorthodox birthday party, especially for those unfamiliar with Japanese tradition, but it will become easy to adapt once you let yourself enjoy the experience. Even if you did not receive an invitation, if you walk by and see that there is a party going on, feel free to join in! But please remember to stay respectful and leave all weapons at the door, or you will be forcibly removed by a certain Rurouni or even the ghosts.
After all, this is Nanako's day.
[ ooc; If you want to use brackets, that's totally okay! Your choice, just have fun. Shorter tags are probably best when in the GAMES section, so that the rounds don't get too held up. If I'm not around when a round is finished, feel free to continue along the same pattern I started!
