I HAVE A JOB!
It's all been rather quick. The day before yesterday a recruitment agency called me about a position I'd applied for, a telephone interview was scheduled with the employer a couple of hours later. I was invited for a face to face the following morning and by the afternoon the recruitment agency was calling to say the company liked me and I had the job!
In two weeks I'll start with a company called Policy Expert as a Customer Relations Expert which is a posh way to say I'll be selling home insurance over the phone. I'll mostly be handling incoming calls there will be some out bound calls but no cold calling . It's much more money than I had at La Senza £18,000 plus bonus if i hit targets( that's £6,000 + more) the days are 1/2 hr shorter and I only work 1 Saturday in 3, no Sundays. Best of all it's 7 minutes walk from my door.
I don't know how well I'll take to selling on the phone but I do have selling skills and the place seems nice; hopefully I'll get on well and this will be the job I really click in and start advancing in my career.
