It's the Solar System!
“John why do you insist on trying to teach me such drivel”
John sighed exasperatedly “It's the solar system Sherlock, it's important!”
“Say's who? What difference does it make, if the Earth goes round the Sun or the Sun goes round the Earth? Will the night not still fall, the sun will not still rise, and most importantly will murders still be committed?”
John was not up to arguing that point, “Okay moving on, let's talk about lost comets”
“Now that's the most stupid of them all, how the hell can anyone lose a comet!”
The Lonely comet
Perhaps John should have known better than try interest Sherlock in something not related to murder. Though as John reflected on the day, he came came to realise something.
Sherlock himself was much like a comet, burning brightly, dazzling all around him, as he blazed through, still capable of getting just as lost. Not to the streets of London no, but to his own mind, and to society, always living on the fringe. John just wished now he he had found Sherlock he would suffer no more. Sherlock had already spent too long lost and alone, just like a comet.
